I hate taxes, but I guess it is the price of living in the best country in the world!

In this Issue:

"Experiences from the Trip Journals"  Plasticaster AKA Terry, always keeps a log or journal.  We all should do so.  Anyway, after a suitable period of time, the entries in those journals can be informative, interesting, and sometimes downright humorous!  They are always guaranteed to bring a good memory!

"Springtime Preparation Tips" by Txfishfinder AKA Craig.  This one will save you a lot of grief and money!  Txfishfinder, our resident trolling motor guru, provides some wise advise geared to giving you a summer of trouble-free fishing fun!

"Who Sez Men don't Shop?"  by Sam.   This is just a humorous (I hope) essay on shopping.  Nothing real heavy or earth-shaking in this article, but I hope it provides some enjoyment.

Don't forget to talk to your contacts about sponsorship of the CCCF web site and/or this newsletter.  What better way to get your message out to 1500+ avid sportsmen...and at rock-bottom cost!

"The Catch of the Month"   Surprise, surprise, surprise!   Nobody sent in a picture for consideration this month, so I originally thought that I would pull one from the archives.  If you haven't looked through the photo album in a while, you need to...it really brings back some cool memories!  As a result of my looking through that album, I am nominating all of us for the "Catch of the Month".  We have had three - almost four - years of making great friends, having great food, catching great fish, and more...but most of all, making great friends!

"Guest Recipe - Russian Shaslik"  By Harv418 AKA MuskoviteHarv.  As everyone knows by now, poor old Harv has been shunted off to the frozen hinterlands of Russian this year.   Well, he wrote me and told me about this dish that he swears will make me want to become a commie...but I doubt it!  Anyway, I'm going to give it a try as soon as I run out of trout filets...I wonder how he stood it over there without catching specks and reds!

Be sure and visit our sponsors and buy their products...David's Tackle Box, LawyersCenter.com, Honey Holes for  the Walkin Wader and Kayaker, and Chris Martin's Bay Flats Guide Service and Lodge.

Regular Features:

"Here's How I See It"    by Editor/Publisher Webdude AKA Sam.  A monthly commentary on the state of the CCCF and other general matters.   This month we cover the importance of communication!

"The one that got away...and other fish stories"  by various authors.  This month's offering is a  true story by member Bandman AKA Doug.  This is a particularly good story because it uses the (in)famous CCCF knife!

"Recipe from Borg's Kitchen"   by Borg AKA Jeff.   The CCCF is lucky to have a gourmet cook among its members, and we are even luckier that he passes on some of his knowledge to us!   Grilling fish has always been a pretty big challenge for me...I can fry a lot better and easier...but this month, Borg is telling us how it is done right!

Get your CCCF bumper sticker today.  Send  your donation (suggested $2.00 or 3 for $5) and a self-addressed envelope to CCCF, 4107 Oak Point Drive, Pearland, TX 77581.  Same day shipment.  Support the CCCF.

Coming soon - CCCF hats with a great new design!  We may also order more of the very popular CCCF knives since we are sold out and several asked for them.
